Well, it's been a while! I got out of the groove in my craft room and have been going through some class kits to get things back on track. Not much to share when you're using other people's designs, is there?
Today, I created a fun Halloween themed card to match up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, "Things with Wings."
My first thought when I saw the latest Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge “Things with Wings” was this background stamp. This is an older stamp, Bug Collection, from Hero Arts—unfortunately not available anymore—that I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and clear heat embossed before inking with Eggplant, Rainforest, and Oceanside inks from Concord and 9th. Next, I splattered Distress Mica Stain in Iron Gate and Hocus Pocus to add some shimmer.
For the sentiment and die cuts, I used the Curiosities Silhouette die set, another older set from Hero Arts to cut the spiderweb and spiders. I dug out glitter cardstock from my stash for the spiders, and coated the spiderweb with Distress Rock Candy. The Happy Halloween is from the My Monthly Hero kit from September 2019. Some dark iridescent pearls from Trinity Stamps finished out the card.
Those butterflies should watch out for those spiders!
